Health insurance
Insurance, without the guesswork.
We accept most major Oman health insurers. Coverage is confirmed before any treatment begins — no surprise bills.
Accepted Providers
If your policy is with a different insurer, you can still pay at the clinic and submit our itemised invoice to your insurer for reimbursement.
OQIC
Oman Qatar Insurance Company — direct billing for eligible policies
Liva Insurance
Formerly MedGulf — direct billing for eligible policies
How the claim works
Send your policy number and insurer name via WhatsApp before your appointment.
We verify coverage and tell you what is included and what may require a co-payment.
For pre-authorisation cases, we prepare the cost estimate and submit it to the insurer.
After treatment, we file the claim with the insurer directly when possible.
Check your coverage before booking
Send us your policy details and we will confirm coverage before your appointment.
Common questions
Insurance, without surprises.
- Which insurance companies do you accept at Finland Dental? +
- We currently accept two insurers for direct billing: OQIC (Oman Qatar Insurance Company) and Liva Insurance. If you have a policy with a different company, you can still pay the clinic directly and submit the itemised invoice to your insurer for reimbursement — send us your policy details first so we confirm what’s covered.
- Do I need pre-authorisation before treatment? +
- Most Oman insurers require pre-authorisation for procedures above OMR 50–100. The clinic submits your cost estimate, X-rays and clinical notes to the insurer and replies come back within 24–72 hours. Do not start treatment before pre-authorisation is issued — otherwise you may lose coverage for that visit.
- What is typically NOT covered by dental insurance in Oman? +
- Most policies exclude dental implants, cosmetic veneers, teeth whitening, adult orthodontics, and crowns considered aesthetic rather than functional. Pre-existing conditions declared at policy start are also excluded.
- Can I combine insurance with an instalment plan? +
- Yes. Insurance covers part of the invoice and the patient share can be split across any of our instalment plans (Qpay, in-house, or Tajeer). We prepare a clear breakdown so you see exactly what the insurer pays and what you finance.
- Do you handle the claim paperwork for me? +
- For most major insurers we file the claim directly — you only pay the patient share on the day. For a small number of insurers we issue an itemised invoice that you submit yourself. We always tell you which applies before treatment starts.
- What if my insurer is not on your list? +
- Contact us with your policy details — we regularly add new providers after a verification step, and we may be able to process your claim even if the insurer is not on the public list.
