Privacy policy.

1. Data we collect
From you: name, age, phone, email, address, dental-related medical history, intra-oral photographs and X-rays, insurance details, and records of appointments and payments. Some data is provided when you book directly by phone or WhatsApp; the rest is collected on the clinic intake form.
2. Why we collect it
To communicate with you, to deliver and document treatment in your medical file, to verify insurance coverage, to issue invoices, and to send appointment reminders. We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit opt-in.
3. Legal basis
Processing is carried out under Oman’s Personal Data Protection Law (Sultani Decree 6/2022) and the Ministry of Health’s requirements for medical records.
4. Who sees your data
Your medical record is accessed by the clinical team treating you and, where needed, clinic administration. Data is shared with your insurer when you use cover, with dental laboratories for cases that require it, and with finance providers when you request an instalment plan. We do not sell your data to any third party.
5. Retention
Medical records are retained for no less than 10 years from your last visit, per Ministry of Health requirements. Marketing data (e.g. newsletter email) is kept until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure (except where law requires retention), withdraw marketing consent, and have your record transferred to another clinic. Email requests to info.finlanddental@gmail.com.
7. Data security
Medical records and X-rays are kept in an encrypted, password-protected system. Staff are not permitted to copy imaging or records to personal devices. The patient portal uses two-factor authentication.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for site functionality, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) for statistics, and marketing cookies (Google Ads) for advertising. The latter two categories can be accepted or rejected via the consent banner on your first visit.
9. Children’s data
For any patient under 18 we require guardian consent. Children’s data is subject to additional safeguards and is never used for marketing.
10. Before & after photos
No photograph from your case is used unless you have signed a specific consent form. You may withdraw consent at any time and have the image removed from the website.
11. Updates
We may update this policy. Material updates are communicated to our registered patients by email.
